Welcome to my thesis exploration. Research is about collaboration and this site is my attempt to collaborate with you. Over the next several months I will continue to post my research progress, pose questions, upload resources and share my thoughts about how this thesis will help to inform my design project.

The first step in every thesis is to define a thesis statement or research question. After months of research and multiple reiterations I have finally arrived at my statement:

Can the qualities of highly motivated individuals “past and present” be harnessed to create social change?
